Nuremberg – Alexander Hofmann, member of the WIEGEL Group’s Board of Directors, has sent a special video message to B.A.U.M. (German Environmental Management Association) to mark the organisation’s 40th anniversary.
In his message, Mr Hofmann emphasised the importance of sustainable action and long-term success:
‘Long-term sustainable action leads directly to success! 33 years ago, we revolutionised hot-dip galvanising technology, which was highly polluting at the time. And since then we have built 33 new plants, from 6 to 39, under our own steam. We are pioneers, innovators and role models in the industry, worldwide. That is success – ecologically, socially and economically! Politics and administration must finally halve the bureaucracy. And companies must act instead of talking. It is the companies and their environmental footprints that show the true colours, not the websites! B.A.U.M. is my companion on this journey.’
