Redekin – On 15 October 2024, a strategic meeting took place in Redekin between WIEGEL and representatives of 50Hertz Transmission GmbH from Berlin. WIEGEL’s invitation offered our guests from the purchasing and technology departments the opportunity to experience our production facility live and to inspect the production of their specific lattice towers up close.

The talks centred on intensifying cooperation and meeting the growing demand for lattice boom steel in the long term. Plans to extend the existing framework agreement by a further two years were discussed in order to ensure stability and supply for future projects. Sustainability and environmental protection were also important topics on the agenda – the focus here was on new, resource-saving concepts in production.

The representatives of 50Hertz emphasised their satisfaction with the cooperation to date and the high quality of our products. This valuable feedback forms the basis for the strategic further development of our cooperation and the setting of new standards in production.
