Čenkov – In cooperation with the company Energovod Praha, we hot-dip galvanized various traffic infrastructure components – including signs and bus stop structures – at the Apollo Metal Čenkov site, a WIEGEL Group facility in the Czech Republic. The professional coating was carried out by our partner company, Milan Tůma. This joint project represents an important step towards the modernization and optimization of Prague’s urban transport network.
Presentation at the Smart City Expo in Barcelona
The results of this project were presented at the renowned Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona, the world’s leading event for smart and innovative urban development. The trade fair, now in its 13th edition, once again brought together leading players from the fields of technology, urban planning, and sustainability.
As part of the exhibition, the municipal company THMP of the City of Prague presented a digitalized bus shelter as part of a pilot project for multifunctional stops. This innovative solution demonstrates how the City of Prague is using new technologies for its transport infrastructure.
Strong Presence of the Czech Republic
For the first time, the Czech Republic was directly represented at the Smart City Expo. The exhibition was organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade together with the CzechTrade agency. In addition to Prague, the cities of Brno and Pilsen were also present, accompanied by around 30 other exhibitors, including start-ups, innovative companies, and universities.
Our Contribution to Modern Infrastructure
This project highlights the importance of targeted collaboration and professional expertise in implementing innovative solutions. We are proud to have contributed to the advancement of Prague’s transport system with our hot-dip galvanized and coated infrastructure.
A big thank you to everyone involved – we look forward to continuing to be part of exciting projects that promote sustainable and smart urban development.
