Construction begins for the new WIEGEL administration building in Nuremberg
Nuremberg – With the start of earthworks in mid-June, the next visible step has been taken in the construction of the new WIEGEL administration building in Nuremberg. On a site of around 5,000 m² in the northwestern outskirts of the city, a modern office and laboratory building is being developed that will bring together important administrative and working areas of the WIEGEL Group at one location in the future.
The new building is an important milestone in the continued development of the group of companies. Today, WIEGEL operates with more than 1,500 employees at 39 locations in four countries and is one of the established specialists in hot-dip galvanizing, coating, lattice tower construction and telecommunications construction. The new site in Nuremberg creates additional spatial opportunities and provides a future-oriented basis for further collaboration within the group.
Modern working areas across around 3,300 square metres of gross floor area
The plans include an office building with three levels and an adjoining laboratory building with two levels. Together, the office and laboratory buildings will provide a gross floor area of around 3,300 m².
The new construction will create modern workplaces, short distances between administration and laboratory, and a building structure designed to meet the future requirements of the WIEGEL Group. The new administration building will therefore not only be a functional workplace, but also a clear statement for the company’s long-term development at the Nuremberg location.
The first earthworks are underway
Preparatory earthworks are currently underway on the construction site. This is laying the foundation for the upcoming construction phases. Where there was previously open space, the new administrative headquarters of the WIEGEL Group is now gradually taking shape.
The visualisations already show how the new building will fit into its surroundings in the future. The design combines office space, laboratory areas and outdoor facilities into a modern location that also makes the company’s development visible in spatial terms.
A new building with perspective
The start of construction marks the transition from planning to implementation. In the coming months, a building will be created on the site in Hintere Dorfäckerstraße that will strengthen the WIEGEL Group in the long term: as a central administrative location, as a working environment for employees and as an investment in the company’s future.
With this new building, WIEGEL is sending another visible signal for growth, stability and its close connection to the Nuremberg location.
