Halle an der Saale – A nearly two-minute film shows the installation of a mobile mast on a residential building in Halle an der Saale. The project was carried out by Telekommunikationsbau Services GmbH (TKS), a subsidiary of the WIEGEL Group. On site were Dennis Koch, Technical Director of TKS, the project manager for the tower construction, Sven Tokarski, and an experienced TKS assembly team.

In urban areas like Halle, roof installations of mobile antennas are a crucial factor for comprehensive and high-performance mobile network coverage. Especially in urban areas, such new constructions are of great importance to further improve network coverage.

The installation on the three-story residential building presented high demands for planning and implementation. During the planning phase, the building’s structural integrity and construction had to be carefully examined and adjusted. In the realization phase, smooth collaboration among the involved trades was essential to meet the schedule.

A crane was used for the installation, lifting the mast along with the antenna equipment onto the roof. The final assembly was then carried out in the attic by TKS specialists. A particular challenge was reinforcing the roof structure to safely transfer the loads of the antenna carrier and antennas into the building.

As the general contractor with nationwide experience in mobile mast construction, TKS coordinated all work steps and ensured smooth execution. Thanks to the professional work and precise implementation, the new mobile mast will soon significantly improve network quality in Halle an der Saale.
