New TKS Mobile Network Masts Strengthen Deutsche Bahn’s Radio Network Infrastructure

Wittenberge – Along the 278-kilometre route between Berlin and Hamburg, Deutsche Bahn is preparing the next generation of railway radio communication: the Future Railway Mobile Communication System. Telekommunikationsbau Services GmbH – or TKS for short – is also involved as a nationwide general contractor for the implementation of mobile network infrastructure projects.

On behalf of the company Hörmann Kommunikation & Netze, WIEGEL subsidiary TKS is implementing several sites for the “Berlin/Hamburg Radio Infrastructure Expansion” project.
In total, Deutsche Bahn is establishing 292 sites along the route.
With its many years of expertise in the implementation of mobile network infrastructure projects, TKS is helping to ensure that the connection between the two metropolitan areas becomes even more digitally integrated.
