Hall temperature control for optimal coating conditions
Feuchtwangen – The WIEGEL Group’s new coating centre is currently being built at the Feuchtwangen site. An important component of the new building is the temperature control system for the production hall. To this end, underfloor heating is being installed across approximately 5,000 square metres of hall space.
Warm water flows through the pipes integrated into the hall floor, ensuring even temperature control throughout the hall. Compared to air-based heating systems, this method does not create disruptive air currents. This provides stable conditions for the coating processes and supports consistently high execution quality.
In addition to the process-related benefits, the hall temperature control system also contributes to the energy efficiency of the new coating centre. At the same time, it creates a more pleasant working environment for the employees on site.
10,000-square-metre storage area
As construction progresses, the hall floor will be covered with concrete. In addition to the production hall, an approximately 10,000-square-metre asphalted storage area is being created on the site. In the future, it will provide sufficient space for the temporary storage of large steel structures for customers.
With the new building in Feuchtwangen, WIEGEL is expanding its coating capacities and creating modern conditions for high-quality corrosion protection solutions from a single source. Further information about Germany’s most modern coating centre can be found here.
