Customer Day at WIEGEL Isseroda: Insights into Powder Coating and Duplex Corrosion Protection

The Customer Day initially focused on powder coating at the WIEGEL Isseroda site. During a tour of the production facilities, guests were able to gain an impression of the individual process steps – from the preparation and pretreatment of components to coating and curing, followed by packaging.

Duplex corrosion protection through regional cooperation

In addition to powder coating, particular attention was paid to its combination with hot-dip galvanizing. As a specialist in powder coating, WIEGEL Isseroda works closely with the WIEGEL hot-dip galvanizing plants in Jena and Trusetal.

This enables WIEGEL to provide its customers with duplex corrosion protection from a single source within its regional network. Hot-dip galvanizing and the subsequent coating process are coordinated within the WIEGEL Group. Cooperation between the sites ensures short transport distances and coordinated processes.

Additional services relating to corrosion protection

In addition to the actual surface treatment, further services can be provided depending on the individual order. These include, among other things, preparatory and finishing work as well as packaging, storage and logistics.

The Customer Day therefore provided more than just an opportunity to experience the technical processes involved in powder coating first-hand. Personal discussions also offered the opportunity to address specific requirements and individual possibilities for cooperation.
