Construction Progress in Feuchtwangen: Steel Structure of the New Coating Facility Completed
Feuchtwangen – The new coating facility of the WIEGEL Group in Feuchtwangen is continuing to take shape. With the completion of the steel support framework of the hall, a key construction milestone has been reached.
A new wet coating center is currently being built at the Feuchtwangen site, specifically expanding the existing services. The facility is being constructed step by step directly next to the galvanizing plant.
A key advantage is already evident during the construction process: the steel beams used are hot-dip galvanized at the neighboring WIEGEL site and then assembled directly on the construction site. This results in short transport routes and efficiently coordinated processes. At the same time, hot-dip galvanizing fulfills the fire protection concept (R30). The required structural fire design has been verified through engineering calculations.
In parallel with the hall construction, the surrounding infrastructure is also progressing. The social building is continuously taking shape and complements the site.
With each stage of construction, the future coating center in Feuchtwangen is becoming more tangible. Once completed, the site will combine galvanizing and coating in one location, creating optimal conditions for processing large-scale steel structures.
