Plant Tour at the Grüna Site – Young Talents Visit WIEGEL

On 7 November 2025, WIEGEL welcomed two classes from the 4th year of vocational training at BSZ für Technik II Chemnitz – Handwerkerschule to its Grüna site. Around 30 future metalworkers and design technicians took part in the plant tour together with their teachers.

Under the expert guidance of Uwe Märker, the visitors received a comprehensive insight into the entire hot-dip galvanizing process. From goods receipt and pre-assembly to pre-treatment, post-treatment, dismantling and commissioning – all steps were explained in detail.

The participants showed great interest and asked numerous questions, which could be answered directly. Feedback was consistently positive – the trainees were particularly impressed by the dimensions of the plant and the precise process organisation.

WIEGEL places great importance on supporting young technical professionals and helping them gain practical experience in the industry. The visit in Grüna once again highlighted how valuable direct exchange between vocational training and industry is for the future of the skilled trades.
