Construction Progress at WIEGEL Plattling

Plattling – The construction of the new state-of-the-art hot-dip galvanizing plant is nearing completion.

In a video tour, Plant Manager Helmut Wastian provides insights into the current status of the construction work and the technical features of the new facility.

The plant includes a galvanizing kettle measuring 7 m × 1.80 m × 3.20 m and a hybrid galvanizing furnace that can operate on both gas and electricity. The electricity is supplied by the company’s own photovoltaic system, and the waste heat is used to heat the social areas and to support the pretreatment line.

Commissioning is scheduled for January 2026..
