Anna and the WIEGELIANER: WIEGEL Scrabble – Part 3 (Finale in Isseroda)

Isseroda – In the third part of the series “Anna and the WIEGELIANER,” the WIEGEL Scrabble project receives its final look: at WIEGEL Isseroda, the steel letters previously manufactured and galvanized by WIEGEL Parey are powder coated.

During powder coating, a powder paint is electrostatically applied to the metal and then cured in a baking oven at a defined temperature, as plant manager Andreas Langlotz explains. This process creates a continuous and robust layer that is resistant to chemicals, UV radiation, and mechanical stress, thereby increasing durability.

In the reel, presenter Anna Alt takes on the coating of the “W” herself. All letters are fully colored, resulting in a complete, colorful “WIEGEL” set by the end. The finale concludes with a game of Scrabble.
